Meet Bella Lucia (Poppins)

Poppins is looking for a new home as a companion pony. She is a bright pony who would suit a confident adult rehomer with experience, or an interest in, equine behaviour. Poppins could go for walks in hand and could also try some horse agility or ride and lead with another ridden horse. She does need to be on restricted grazing as she is prone to weight gain so, we would be looking for a home where she can live with other ponies on the same grazing management. Poppins could also be stabled part time if this was part of a routine in a home and could stay on her own for short periods if another horse was ridden.

Important stuff

Bella Lucia (Poppins) can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Bella Lucia (Poppins) is not suitable to be worked.

History

Poppins came in to our care along with another mare in winter 2021 following a welfare call about them being kept in a walled area with no access to grazing, and standing in deep mud. She was rehomed for some time but returned due to a change in circumstances.
