We engage at community, national and international levels with our technical expertise to improve capabilities and increase awareness of issues facing working equids. We must influence people at all stages to change their behaviour to better care for working equids or make provisions to improve resources needed to enable this care.
Our Theory of Change model shows how we sustainably impact the welfare of working equids and the livelihoods of the communities who depend on them.
Building community networks
Our local partners and regional trainers build the capacity of the whole community to better care for their equids.
Advocacy
World Horse Welfare aims to put working equids higher up the agenda within the development sector.
People of the future
Our education programme and veterinary projects encourage young people to value animal welfare and recognise sentience.
