Meet Redburn Top Notch

Cheeky little Topnot, as he is known on the farm, is looking for a new home as a companion to other small ponies. This little guy is a cheeky wee chap who loves attention and is always more than happy to greet our visitors in the barn and out in his paddocks. Topnot can be a fidgety little Shetland at times, mainly when he is fed up with being tied up, so the rehomer would have to be mindful of this if he is around any children. Other than being a fidget, he is great to catch and lead, and is well behaved for our vet and farrier. Topnot has recently had a tooth removed and has diastema (a gap in his teeth) so he will need his teeth checked every six months in order for him to remain comfortable. He can put on weight easily through the summer months, so his weight will need to be monitored appropriately to the seasons. Topnot is currently living out full time in a mixed herd of Shetland's with the same grazing requirements as him. If you think Topnot will be the one for you, please apply online.

Important stuff

Redburn Top Notch can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Redburn Top Notch is not suitable to be worked.

History

Topnot originally arrived back in December 2022 with two other Shetlands as a welfare concern; their owner was sadly no longer able to look after them.
