Meet Raya
Raya is a pretty little pony who has had a tough start to her young life. Although she is 6 years old she was completely unhandled on arrival at Hall Farm. Initially she was difficult to catch and would not come in from the field without the support of her friends. Now she is much easier to catch and becoming more confident about coming into the American Barn on her own. She seems to enjoy being groomed and allows this either tied up in the barn or loose in the field. Picking out her feet was obviously something new to her and it has taken time for her to understand what is required. Raya has a sweet nature and it will just take a quiet, patient handler to teach her the basics and make up for the education she has been lacking. Raya is a lovely young pony who will blossom with a patient rehomer who has the time to spend reinforcing her training. Raya may have the potential to be backed in the future providing she is given plenty of time to mature mentally first. She will only be suitable for a maximum rider weight limit of 4 to 4.5 stones, so we are equally happy for Raya to provide a valuable role as a field buddy only to another small pony. Alternatively, she could make a nice little driving pony when she is more confident and relaxed
Important stuff
Raya could be worked in the future.
