Things to do at Glenda Spooner Farm

Meet the horses

Glenda Spooner Farm is home to around 65 horses at any given time. Come and meet some of the horses and ponies we have in our care.

You can take a guided tour of the stables and find out more about the work that we do behind the scenes.

You might even find a horse or pony that you would like to rehome!

Have a bite to eat

Relax in our coffee shop overlooking our indoor arena, where you may even be lucky enough to see some of our horses undergoing their rehabilitation work. Free public Wifi available.

Coffee shop hours: 11am – 4pm on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Serving lunch, cream teas, cakes and drinks.

Enjoy a farm walk

The farm sits in 220 acres of unspoilt countryside and there are many opportunities to spot the wildlife around our lake.

Take a walk around the lake or stroll around our paddock trail where you can meet some of the ponies.

Our fabulous arena is available to hire and we also have a conference suite, seating up to 100 delegates in a variety of layouts, together with the latest IT and audio equipment.

  • Lovely open peaceful space to walk and obviously see the horses and ponies. Dogs allowed on leads, little play park and reasonably priced cafe.

  • Great place to visit if you have kids (or anyone) who love horses. Wonderful views across Somerset on a nice day, or shorter walks and the stable enclosure if the weather isn’t so good. Well worth a visit!!

Our open crew stableyards offer a safe area of shelter for horses who need to remain under close observation. They are also a great place for you to meet and learn more about the horses currently in our care, so please don't hesitate to visit us soon.
