Meet Veela

Veela is an adorable wee mare and is proving to be a very quick learner, she has the most beautiful mane and really stands out from the crowd. Veela is looking for a new home as a project pony where she will be backed to ride as a small child’s lead rein/first ridden pony. She is extremely bold and brave about life and has taken to her groundwork brilliantly well, with more work she should make a lovely family pony who we are sure will be much-loved. Veela is currently lunging and is confident going out on the long reins with her groom. She has had the dummy rider on board and wasn’t fazed and is ready to have a little rider on board; she will need an experienced family to continue with her education out on loan. Please note that Veela is a very small cob and has a maximum rider weight limit of six stone. Due to her age, she will have moments where she needs some reassurance from her handler and is the type of pony that requires consistent handling. Veela adores people and is always brilliant to catch; we think that a child will love her and have lots of fun with her. She would enjoy a home with another young pony as she likes to spend her days playing. Veela doesn’t find our older horses entertaining enough and they probably feel the exact same way about her annoying them! Veela is excellently behaved for both our vet and farrier. Veela has been happy to live out full time and will mix with mares or geldings, she gains weight very easily so must be kept on restricted grazing. If you think your family could offer this gorgeous wee cob a new home, please apply online.
