Meet Aelin

Aelin is a gorgeous little filly who has been as bold as brass since day one. Aelin is extremely friendly and very confident for her young age. She adores a fuss being made of her and loves being brought in for a pamper. Aelin is a very inquisitive youngster and loves to investigate new things when she is being led in by her groom. She is well behaved on vet, farrier and dentist days. Aelin is very young so will need an experienced handler to bring her on as she may have worried moments in new situations and need some reassurance. She is a sociable pony and gets on very well with her field mates; she would become stressed if left completely alone. Aelin has proven herself to be quite the wee escape artist when the mood takes her and does not have a lot of respect for electric fencing; she will therefore require a new home with very secure fencing. She may have the potential to be a child's ridden pony in the future; she will need assessed by a vet at four years old to decide if she can begin groundwork. If backed to ride she will be able to carry a maximum of 15% of her correct bodyweight; She is estimated to mature at 12.2HH so would only be suited to a small child. Aelin has bundles of character and is full of mischief, she will make a lovely family pony. She isn’t currently living on overly restricted grazing but will need her weight monitored as she matured and grazing restricted accordingly. History

Aelin was born at Belwade Farm in May 2023. Her Dam came in as part of a large welfare case of ponies in April 2023 and was in poor condition on arrival.
