Making a Will

If you are in the first stages of writing your Will, or amending a Will you have previously written, the first thing we recommend is for you to talk to a solicitor. You may want to research your own solicitor who will be able to help you with every aspect of writing your Will and leaving a gift if you so choose.

Pecuniary

A specific sum of money left as a gift in a will.

Residuary

A share or proportion of your estate- this is the amount left over after you have provided for family and friends, and all costs have been paid.

Specific

A specific item- this could be a piece of jewellery or a house, shares or land.
